Islamic Emirate Distributes Cash Aid to 1,100 Displaced Families in Kandahar

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan — The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has distributed 16.5 million Afghanis in cash assistance to 1,100 families displaced by recent clashes in Spin Boldak and Shorabak districts of Kandahar province.

Each family received 15,000 Afghanis on the instructions of Islamic Emirate Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund. The distribution aims to provide immediate relief to those affected by the conflicts.

The assistance program is to be extended to displaced families in the southern and eastern regions of the country, according to the report.

This aid comes amid larger-scale displacements near the Durand Line, where more than 27,000 families have been uprooted due to recent wars and Pakistani military artillery attacks.
