300 Kilograms of 'IF' Narcotics Seized, Destroyed in Afghanistan's Badghis Province

BADGHIS, Afghanistan -- Security forces seized and destroyed around 300 kilograms of "IF" narcotics hidden in a deep well in Panj-Baz village of Jwand district in Badghis province, Sadiqullah Sadiqi, spokesperson for Badghis police, said.

The operation took place Sunday night based on intelligence provided by security forces, Sadiqi told Pajhwok Afghan News. The narcotics were burned at the site immediately after recovery.

No arrests were made in connection with the seizure, Sadiqi said.

"IF" is one of the most dangerous narcotic substances, Sadiqi said. It is traditionally produced from the wild plant known as "Yama" and then converted into methamphetamine.
