Iran's Acting Ambassador: Over 100,000 Tons of Goods Transported by Rail Between Iran and Afghanistan This Year
Alireza Bekdeli, Iran's acting ambassador in Kabul, announced that more than 100,000 tons of goods have been transferred via railway between Iran and Afghanistan since the beginning of this year.
Bekdeli made the statement during a visit to the Rozanak railway station in Herat province, where he positively evaluated the trade and goods transportation processes between the two countries. He highlighted the station's important role in bilateral trade.
According to Bekdeli, operations at Rozanak are proceeding smoothly despite concerns over the impact of regional conflicts. He noted worries about potential disruptions to trade due to the joint war involving America and Israel against Iran.
Bekdeli expressed hope for an increase in the volume of goods transferred during the month of Thawr. He also acknowledged complaints from Afghan citizens regarding price hikes, which they attribute to the war in Iran and the closure of the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.
