Iranian and Japanese Foreign Ministers Discuss Regional Developments Following US, Israeli Attack
Iran's Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi held a telephone conversation with his Japanese counterpart Toshimitsu Motegi on regional developments following a military attack by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran, and its regional and global consequences.
According to Iran's Foreign Ministry, Araqchi stated: "Good relations with neighbors are very important for Iran, but we cannot allow the US to attack us from its bases in the region."
Araqchi added: "Our defensive actions are not directed at neighbors but target the source and origin of the aggression."
He emphasized that Iran stands with full strength and determination against the military aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime and will defend itself.
Japan's Foreign Minister, for his part, expressed condolences and sympathy to the Iranian people, voiced concern over the continuation and expansion of the crisis, and stressed the need for necessary efforts to reduce tensions.
