U.S. President Donald Trump stated during a press conference in Florida that he does not want Iran to resume nuclear weapons production the day after the war ends.

"We are very close to the end of the war. We will finish this soon," Trump said.

He added that Iran's navy has been destroyed and its long-range missile production capacity reduced by 90%. Trump said two full circles of Iran's leaders have been eliminated and expressed a preference for new leadership to emerge from within Iran, citing Venezuela as a successful example of change.

Responding to a question on whether Iran's new leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, would be targeted, Trump declined to comment, calling it "inappropriate," but voiced dissatisfaction, warning that "past problems will repeat."

In a prior phone conversation with Sibias TV, Trump had said the war was nearly over. International news agencies reported these remarks followed a lengthy call with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
