The Ministry of Interior has assured that terrorist groups, including ISIS, have been completely suppressed in Afghanistan, stating that ISIS currently has no 'physical presence' in the country.

Spokesperson Abdul Mateen Qani said nationals of some neighboring countries have been involved in security-related incidents in Afghanistan. He added that the ministry is working to suppress anti-security elements outside the country in coordination with those nations.

"In this regard, we are also striving to hold official meetings and talks so that elements acting against Afghanistan’s security are contained," Qani said. "We have been active in this area. There are cases in which we have targeted judicial or criminal activities and did not allow them to operate, and God willing, they will not be allowed to do so in the future either. We are trying to resolve these issues through understanding with neighboring countries so that their soil is not used against us."

Analysts underscored the importance of coordination between Afghanistan and its neighbors on security matters. Military analyst Mohammad Zalmay Afghanyar noted, "Terrorism is a transnational issue, and Afghanistan itself is one of its victims. Can other countries provide Afghanistan with guarantees that their soil will not be used against it?"

Political analyst Sayed Moqaddam Amin said, "Information sharing is not an easy task, and to achieve it, the necessary coordination must exist at the leadership level between the two countries."

The ministry's emphasis on security cooperation comes amid ongoing concerns from some countries over Afghanistan's security situation. Tajikistan's foreign minister has previously stated that the country's institutions are in contact regarding border management with Afghanistan.
