Hajj Ministry Issues 227 Fatwas in 1447 AH
The ministry built or repaired dozens of mosques and enabled Hajj for 30,000 pilgrims along with Umrah for more than 79,000 others.

Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahed, spokesman for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, said the Ministry of Hajj and Awqaf issued 227 written fatwas and 400 oral Sharia consultations during 1447 AH.
The ministry built 44 of 147 planned mosques, reconstructed 44 others and repaired 28. Work continues on 103 mosques under construction and 16 under repair or reconstruction.
Officials facilitated Hajj travel for 30,000 pilgrims. After licensing 108 Umrah companies, more than 79,000 people performed Umrah in Saudi Arabia.
The ministry also ran Quran translation and interpretation courses in 411 military centers during Ramadan and delivered 52 Friday sermons on religious and social topics.
