Former Afghan Cricketer Shapoor Zadran Hospitalized in India

Shapoor Zadran, a former cricketer who represented the Afghanistan national team, is currently undergoing medical treatment in India after having been hospitalized there for several weeks now.

Although his condition had shown some initial improvement, he was readmitted to the medical facility and his present condition remains uncertain at this stage.

In light of the situation, the Afghanistan Cricket Board stepped in to provide the necessary financial assistance for Zadran's treatment abroad. This support was highlighted by Mirwais Ashraf.

Leading Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan also came forward to offer any kind of support that might be required by Shapoor Zadran in this trying period.

During his playing days, Zadran took to the field in approximately 80 international matches for his country over the course of more than ten years. His international career included participation in three separate ICC T20 World Cup campaigns, and he is particularly remembered for his decisive contribution to Afghanistan's win against Scotland back in 2015.

Widely regarded as a key figure in the formative years of Afghanistan's cricket, Zadran helped lay the foundations for what has become a sport that acts as a unifying force for the people of the country.

The latest updates on his health have prompted the Afghan cricket community to express both their concern for his well-being and their willingness to support the former player.
