Explosion Near Police Station in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Kills Two

An explosion in the Beno area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan, killed at least two people and wounded 17 others early Monday near the Miryan police station.

Police officials stated that a time bomb hidden in a motorcycle detonated near shops opposite the station. No police personnel were harmed, but civilians in the vicinity suffered injuries, including one child among the dead, according to Pakistani media reports.

The condition of several wounded individuals is reported as critical. Health officials said the injured were transferred to regional hospitals, where treatment continues.

Security forces arrived at the scene and launched search and investigation operations. Police indicated that probes into the circumstances and perpetrators of the blast are ongoing.

No individual or group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
