An electronic ID distribution center has opened in the Sabri and Yaqubi districts of Khost province. This marks the first time such a facility has been established at the district level.
The center will serve residents from the districts of Sabri, Yaqubi, Alishir, Terezai, Zazi Maidan, and Bak. Officials said the move addresses previous challenges residents faced when traveling to the provincial center for identification services.
Mohammad Asif Karar, head of the Khost province statistics and information department, stated that the location in Sabri expands access and improves convenience for local communities. Residents had previously incurred high travel costs and other difficulties to obtain electronic IDs.
More than 51,000 electronic IDs were distributed across Khost province during solar year 1404. Local residents welcomed the new center, saying it will reduce both expenses and logistical burdens associated with obtaining official identification documents.
