Eid al-Fitr Prayers Held in Mosques and Eidgahs Across Afghanistan's Provinces

Eid al-Fitr prayers were held Thursday in mosques and Eidgahs across Afghanistan's provinces, attended by government officials, scholars, tribal elders and local residents.

Participants, including governors, district chiefs and officials from civilian and military institutions, performed the prayers in an atmosphere of brotherhood before exchanging Eid greetings.

Speakers congratulated the Muslim nation on Eid al-Fitr, particularly security and defense forces ensuring public safety during the holiday. They read the Eid message from Amir al-Mu'minin Sheikh al-Quran wal-Hadith Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada, leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. The message covered implementing divine rulings, strengthening the Islamic system, obedience, security, stability, unity, eradicating bad customs, reconstruction, development, education and training, cooperation with returning migrants, and relations with other countries based on Islamic principles, along with pastoral guidance.

The speakers highlighted the importance of piety, God-fearing and Muslim brotherhood and sincerity from the Quran and prophetic traditions, stressing that peace and welfare depend on unity.

They strongly condemned recent attacks by the Pakistani military on Afghan territory, especially an assault on an addicts' treatment hospital that resulted in the martyrdom and wounding of hundreds of innocent Afghans. The speakers described the actions as contrary to Islamic principles, international humanitarian law and global norms.

Prayers were offered for Jannat al-Firdaws for the martyrs, healing for the wounded, and patience for victims' families and the nation.

Security forces implemented special measures in the capital and provinces to ensure safety during Eid, allowing people to celebrate with families.
