Denis Kratiuk, Crimea's Minister of Agriculture, stated that Afghanistan and Azerbaijan are gradually replacing part of Iran's agricultural products in the Russian market amid a reduced presence of Iranian goods.

Kratiuk made the remarks in an interview with Sputnik Crimea Radio, citing a report from Russian trade centers. He noted that the shift particularly affects products Iran supplied during the winter season, with supplies from Afghanistan and Azerbaijan now increasing to fill the gap.

The minister indicated that this replacement of suppliers could occur relatively quickly. Russia serves as a key market for fruits and agricultural products from regional countries, and such changes in supply sources may impact agricultural trade in the region, including Afghanistan's exports.

Kratiuk's comments highlight evolving dynamics in regional agricultural trade, where Afghanistan and Azerbaijan are stepping in as alternatives to Iranian winter produce in Russia.
