
Central Asian Football Union Announces Dates for CAFA 2026 U-17 Championship
The Central Asian Football Union has announced the dates for the CAFA 2026 U-17 Football Championship, to be held from 12 to 25 Hoot 1405 at the Dastlik Stadium in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The tournament will feature national U-17 teams from five countries: Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan. The Afghanistan National Football Federation relayed the announcement from the Central Asian Football Union, confirming the participating teams will compete for the championship title.
Afghanistan's U-17 football team has begun preparation training in Kabul under the supervision of head coach Ali Ahmad "Yarzadah".
The Central Asian Football Union stated that the goal of the competitions is to develop grassroots football in the region and prepare youth teams for continental and world-level events.
