Khaama Press, citing local police, said at least four people were killed and three others wounded in the shooting in Khwaja Khajan area. Pajhwok Afghan News reported three killed and four injured in an attack on family members in the Chawkak area of the same district, attributing the toll to security forces.
Police arrested two suspects in connection with the incident, according to both outlets. Pajhwok added that security forces were pursuing a third suspect who fled the scene.
Pajhwok said the attack stemmed from a family dispute. Khaama Press noted the incident occurred amid ongoing violence in the province linked to personal disputes, though the specific motive remained under investigation.
