The Afghanistan Trust Fund announced that over more than four years of Taliban rule, it has supported approximately 4 million Afghan women and girls. In a press release dated Thursday, 21 Hoot, the fund stated it has backed numerous projects aimed at empowering women across Afghanistan and supporting those with plans to change their communities. It emphasized appreciation for women's participation in sustainable development.

Anwar al-Haq Ahadi, a member of the Afghanistan Trust Fund in Switzerland, told Afghanistan International in November that the fund has generated more than half a billion dollars in profit. He added that its liquidity, previously at 3.5 billion dollars, has now reached 4.02 billion dollars.

The fund previously announced that in 2025, it assisted one million people in Afghanistan, with half being Afghan women.

The United States transferred 3.5 billion dollars of Afghanistan Central Bank assets to the Switzerland-based trust fund for use in supporting the country's economy.
