Afghanistan Taekwondo Federation Releases Complete 1405 Competition Calendar
The Afghanistan National Taekwondo Federation has published its complete calendar of major competitive events for the solar year 1405, marking the second consecutive year of issuing such a schedule.
The calendar details 15 tournaments running from Hoot to Dai, with specific dates, locations, categories and purposes outlined for each. It serves as a mandatory program approved by the federation's presidency, which all representatives must follow both nationwide and abroad.
The events focus on talent identification, selection for national teams across various age groups and broader sports development. Several competitions honor notable achievements, including those of Olympic medalist Rohullah Nikpai.
Among the highlighted fixtures are the Ramadan Cup, set for 18-20 Hoot 1405 in Kabul, and the Red Flower Cup from 5-7 Saur 1405 in Mazar-e Sharif to commemorate Nikpai's accomplishments. Other events are scheduled in locations such as Kabul, Herat and Mazar-e Sharif, covering categories for different age groups and skill levels.
The federation's initiative aims to structure competitions systematically, ensuring consistent participation and progression in taekwondo across Afghanistan.
