Afghanistan Signs $7.7 Million Contract to Expand Health Services in 19 Provinces

KABUL (Afghan Verified) -- Afghanistan's Ministry of Public Health has signed a five-year contract worth $7,730,125 with the international institution MSIA to strengthen and expand health services across 19 provinces.

The provinces covered include Kabul, Nangarhar, Kapisa, Badakhshan, Takhar, Kunduz, Baghlan, Balkh, Jowzjan, Faryab, Herat, Kandahar, Helmand, Samangan, Ghor, Bamyan, Paktia, Khost and Farah.

According to a ministry statement, the agreement aims to improve the quality of health services, increase access and reduce health problems among residents. Nearly 600,000 people in these provinces will benefit from primary and specialized health services, while 404 jobs will be created in various health sectors.

The ministry stated that MSIA will provide these services over the five-year period.
