Afghan Customs Affairs Show 11.7% Progress in Solar Year 1404

A technical evaluation meeting on customs activities for solar year 1404 was held under the chairmanship of Maulvi Mohammad Hamed Ahmad, General Director of Customs at the Ministry of Finance. The session took place both online and in-person.

The Ministry of Finance issued a press release stating that the Directorate of Planning, Policy, Supervision, and Evaluation of the General Directorate of Customs presented a comprehensive report on activities conducted during the year.

The report detailed revenues collected, trade volumes across all customs offices in the country, the customs value of imported goods, and the number and weights of registered commercial shipments.

According to the report, customs affairs recorded a positive progress of 11.7% compared to solar year 1403.

Provincial customs officials shared their problems and suggestions during the meeting to further improve operations. Officials provided assurances that these issues would be addressed.
