Abu Dhabi Government Signs Agreement with Hamdullah Mohib's Company for Satellite Construction

The company Orbitorks, managed by Hamdullah Mohib, former national security advisor of Afghanistan, in collaboration with several Emirati companies, has signed an agreement with the Abu Dhabi government to build a satellite.
Mohib stated that the satellite will assist the Abu Dhabi Development Fund in accurately monitoring and tracking the progress of its civil and investment projects. He noted that products from his company will be used to examine the progress of the fund's projects in various parts of the world.
Mohib, who established the space company in 1403 and entered the market for small and medium satellites in the United Arab Emirates, wrote on Monday that this approach enables remote observation and evaluation of project statuses. He said it allows the fund to reduce the number of dispatched inspection teams, a process that was previously time-consuming and costly.
The satellites will enable fund officials to monitor project progress from space and verify compliance with execution plans. Mohib described the use of space technology in development and construction as an innovative and beneficial method that "improves decision-making, enhances project oversight, and reduces risks."
The agreement was signed last week on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit. No details have been released in official statements from the Abu Dhabi Development Fund or Orbitorks regarding the contract's financial value, the number of satellites, or the operational timeline.
