70,000 Domestic Tourists Visit Parwan Attractions During Eid-ul-Fitr

Around 70,000 domestic tourists have visited scenic sites in central Parwan province since the start of Eid-ul-Fitr, officials said.

Atiqullah Safi, head of culture and tourism at the Parwan Information and Culture Department, said the figure covers visits to recreational and tourist sites, particularly the Gulghundi picnic area. He noted that the Gulghundi redbud field spans around 1,700 jeribs of land covered with blooming redbud trees.

Other popular locations included Topdara, Pol-i-Matak, the Jabal Saraj royal palace, Sayed, and the lush valleys of Ghorband and Salang, Safi said. Thousands of visitors flocked to these areas during the holiday period.

Safi attributed the high turnout to improved security, favorable weather and the province's natural beauty. The department continues efforts to promote these recreational and tourist areas, he added.

Visitors echoed similar reasons for choosing Parwan, citing its pleasant climate, proximity to Kabul, improved security, refreshing environment and scenic landscapes.
