Afghanistan's Rashid Khan, a 28-year-old leg-spinner known for his googly and records including the fastest to 100 One-Day International wickets, will play his tenth Indian Premier League season with Gujarat Titans.
Khan joined Gujarat Titans ahead of the 2022 season for 15 crore Indian rupees after four seasons with Sunrisers Hyderabad, where he entered the league in 2017 for 9 crore and helped the team finish as runners-up in 2018. He was retained by Gujarat Titans at 18 crore for the 2025 and 2026 seasons. In IPL career totals, Khan has taken 158 wickets and scored 585 runs in 136 matches, with a best of 79 and one half-century. He won his first IPL title with Gujarat Titans in 2022 and recorded his maiden IPL hat-trick against Kolkata Knight Riders in 2023 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Khan debuted in ODIs in 2015 at age 17 against Zimbabwe and has competed in other leagues including Australia's Big Bash League.
Three other Afghan players feature in IPL 2026: Azmatullah Omarzai with Punjab Kings, Noor Ahmad Lakanwal with Chennai Super Kings, and Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar with Mumbai Indians.
The IPL 2026 season starts on March 28 and runs until May 31, featuring 10 teams in a single-group format with 84 matches. Gujarat Titans finished fourth in the previous season, won by Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
