The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) reported that at least four civilians were killed and 14 others injured in airstrikes in the Pul-e-Charkhi area of Kabul overnight.

In a statement released on Friday, UNAMA said the casualties included women and children. The mission documented the incident and expressed concern over the continued impact of hostilities on civilians. UNAMA urged all parties to halt attacks and prioritize civilian protection amid ongoing tensions.

Taliban security officials stated the strikes targeted residential homes in the Pul-e-Charkhi district. Khalid Zadran, spokesman for the Taliban police command in Kabul, said four people were killed and at least 15 wounded.

Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid claimed Pakistani aircraft carried out the strikes and also bombed areas in Kandahar, Paktia and Paktika provinces, though detailed casualty figures from those areas were not available.

UNAMA has previously warned that rising tensions and cross-border clashes between Pakistan and Taliban authorities have led to increasing civilian casualties in Afghanistan in recent weeks.
