Ukraine's Foreign Minister Demands Defensive Aid and Sanctions After Russian Attacks

Amu TV|

Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha called for packages of defensive assistance and immediate Western sanctions on Moscow following Russia's nighttime attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure.

In a post on X, Sybiha stated that Russia launched hundreds of missiles, drones and bombs at Ukraine overnight, adding, "Now is the time to respond with strength, not weakness."

Sybiha described as unacceptable the actions of some in the European Union, whom he called "blackmailers," for blocking necessary decisions on collective defense and threatening to halt energy supplies to Ukraine while its energy system is being "barbarically bombed."

"This blackmail weakens Europe and benefits Russia. It must stop," he emphasized.

Sybiha further noted that while the world urges Moscow to end this "meaningless war," Russian President Vladimir Putin focuses on "assassination, attacks and more aggression."

Moscow has not commented on the recent attacks. Western countries, including the United States and the European Union, have not responded to Sybiha's demands.
