Traffic Accident in Herat’s Adraskan District Leaves Two Dead, Dozens Injured

A traffic accident involving an overturned passenger vehicle in the Adraskan district of Herat province has left two people dead and 51 others injured. The incident occurred on Friday when a 404 passenger transport overturned on a local roadway.

Taliban police officials in the region confirmed the casualty figures and stated that the injured individuals were promptly transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment. Authorities attributed the crash to excessive speed and driver negligence. Following the incident, local security personnel urged motorists to strictly adhere to traffic regulations to prevent similar occurrences.

While official reports point to driver error, some local residents have raised concerns regarding deteriorating road conditions and a lack of adequate traffic signage in the area.
