The newly completed facilities include a standardized medicine storage room, a solar-powered water heating system, and an advanced water purification unit. Provincial authorities stated that these upgrades will address critical operational needs at the medical center, ensuring safer medication storage and reliable access to clean water for both hospital staff and patients.
A formal handover ceremony was attended by provincial and national health representatives. Governor Qari Gul Haidar Shafaq, Deputy Minister Dr. Mohammad Hassan Ghiasi, and Hospital Director Dr. Khairullah Ahmadi were present at the event. During the proceedings, officials emphasized that the new infrastructure will significantly strengthen the hospital’s capacity to provide consistent and higher-quality healthcare services to residents of Bamyan.
Hospital management indicated that the solar heating and water purification systems will help maintain essential hygiene standards while reducing long-term operational costs. The newly constructed medicine storage facility is expected to improve inventory management and ensure the proper preservation of critical medical supplies. Officials reiterated their ongoing focus on upgrading provincial health infrastructure to better serve the local population.
