Syrian President States Country Will Avoid US-Israel War Against Iran Unless Attacked

LONDON (Afghan Verified) -- Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara stated that Syria will stay out of the war between the United States and Israel against Iran unless it is subjected to direct aggression.

Al-Shara made the remarks at an event hosted by the Chatham House think tank in London. He emphasized Syria's unreadiness for further conflict amid the escalating regional crisis and expressed a desire for ideal relations with Lebanon, Iraq, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Britain, France, Germany, and the United States.

Earlier this month, Syria deployed thousands of forces to its western border with Lebanon and eastern border with Iraq. The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced that the deployments are intended to protect and control the borders in response to rising regional tensions.

Al-Shara's comments come as conflicts intensify in the region, with Syria seeking to maintain neutrality while bolstering its border security. He specified that Syria would only become involved if diplomatic options are exhausted and it faces aggression directly.
