A private company has launched online taxi services in Kabul. The new service is intended to improve convenience, quality, safety, and transparency in the city's urban transport while creating jobs for youth and drivers.

Nearly 200,000 dollars has been invested in the project. The company plans to expand operations to cover all areas of Kabul.

Alizadeh, the head of the company, said the service would provide fast, safe, and quality transportation using modern technology. He stated that fare transparency would help build trust with customers. Alizadeh further noted that the platform aims to promote a culture of respect and accountability in the transport sector.

The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has expressed support for the launch of online taxi services. Hafizullah Halimi, an official with the ministry, said the government backs such companies and will install GPS systems in taxis. Ahmad Jawad Faizi, another ministry official, said principles and regulations for online urban transport services have been prepared.

The development comes after a previous online taxi company in Kabul ceased its operations.
