
Parwan Province Hosts 14th Annual 'Gul-e Arghavan' National Poetry Recitation
The Information and Culture Department of Parwan Province, in cooperation with Charikar Municipality, held the 14th annual national "Gul-e Arghavan" poetry recitation.
Sheikh Shir Ahmad Haqqani, Minister of Information and Culture, Maulvi Atiqullah Azizi, Deputy for Culture and Arts, and other officials, poets, writers and local residents attended the ceremony.
Maulvi Shams-ul-Haq Sadiqi, Head of Information and Culture in Parwan Province, stated that the event is taking place amid nationwide security and marks the 14th edition.
Minister Haqqani emphasized the importance of poetry and urged poets to create works within the framework of Sharia that promote national unity, Islamic values and positive messages for society. He assured ministry support for poets and other cultural figures, and stressed the role of unity in ensuring national security.
Maulvi Atiqullah Azizi praised Parwan as a center of culture and called on poets to highlight the achievements of the system and the sacrifices of martyrs in their poetry.
