Panjshir Governor Hafiz Mohammad Agha Hakim stated that supporting orphans and unsupervised children is the religious and administrative duty of every official of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
Hakim made the remarks during a visit to the Panjshir orphanage alongside Maulvi Abdul Hakim Hemat, General Director of Public Relations at the Ministry of Interior. The officials distributed school bags and gifts to the children and inspected sections of the facility.
They emphasized the need for greater attention to the educational, training and welfare conditions of the children. Two orphanages have been established in Panjshir by order of the Islamic Emirate leadership and currently serve hundreds of orphan and unsupervised children.
The Panjshir local administration is committed to providing education, training and decent living facilities for the children.
