
Pakistani Police Detain 341 Undocumented Afghan Migrants in Swabi District
PESHAWAR, Pakistan (Afghan Verified) -- Pakistani police detained 341 Afghan migrants without legal documents in Swabi district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during an operation on Sunday.
The detentions took place in the areas of Topi, Razar, Chota Lahore and the district center, according to reports.
Local officials stated the operations will continue until all residents without legal documents return to Afghanistan peacefully and voluntarily. They urged Afghan migrants to leave voluntarily and granted them time to close their businesses after Eid al-Fitr.
Nearly 30,000 Afghan migrants currently reside in various parts of Swabi district, reports said.
