
Pakistan Army Chief Discusses Regional and Global Security with US Secretary of State
Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on the sidelines of the 62nd Munich Security Conference in Germany.
The meeting took place on Saturday, February 14. Munir emphasized strengthening counter-terrorism and security cooperation between Pakistan and the United States. He stated that regional stability can only be achieved through bilateral and multilateral dialogues.
During his three-day visit to Germany, Munir also held discussions with German officials as well as military commanders from Brazil and Lebanon. The talks covered current security issues, bilateral defense cooperation and efforts to promote global peace.
These engagements occur amid ongoing tensions along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.
