Nine individuals were arrested in Nimroz province for illegal excavation at the historic Chehil Burj archaeological site.

Operational units detained the suspects while they were engaged in digging at the Forty Towers area. A rickshaw and several excavation tools were seized from the site.

The detainees were handed over to the provincial Criminal Investigation Department after preliminary inquiries. Mawlawi Gul Mohammad Qudrat, spokesman for the Nimroz police command, provided the information.
