New Building for Mohammadiyeh Religious School Inaugurated in Ghazni
GHAZNI, Afghanistan -- The new building of the Mohammadiyeh religious school in Berkat village, Khwaja Omari district of Ghazni province, was inaugurated during a ceremony.
Maulvi Mir Nasir Ahmad Husseini, head of education in Ghazni, said the structure was built with funding of 3.7 million Afghanis from the Al-Khair Charity institution. He expressed appreciation to the charity and noted that over the past four years, the Ghazni education department has constructed new buildings for dozens of religious schools and madrasas lacking facilities, with support from cooperating institutions.
Husseini urged officials of Islamic and contemporary education departments to focus more on teaching quality.
Gol Mohammad Mobarez, representative of Al-Khair Charity, said the school was constructed on two jeribs of land as a single-story building over one year. The facility includes six classrooms, an administrative room, a kitchen and other necessary amenities, with capacity for 250 students.
Engineer Mutieullah Farouqi, education officer of Khwaja Omari district, described the construction as a scientific achievement. He said 16 religious schools are currently operating in the district, most of which are newly established and lack buildings. Farouqi called on other charity institutions to cooperate with the Ghazni education department to build facilities for religious schools and madrasas.
