Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that any US agreement with Iran must include the complete dismantling of Tehran's nuclear infrastructure, insisting that halting enrichment alone is insufficient.

Netanyahu raised this during his meeting last week with US President Donald Trump, according to a Reuters report cited by Hasht-e Subh on Sunday, February 15. He expressed skepticism about the success of US-Iran nuclear talks and stressed that any deal must also involve the removal of enriched materials from Iran.

"No enrichment capacity should remain; not just stopping the enrichment process, but dismantling the equipment that fundamentally enables enrichment," Netanyahu said.

The second round of US-Iran negotiations is set for this week. An Iranian diplomat indicated that Tehran seeks an agreement benefiting the economic interests of both parties.

Reuters, quoting US officials, reported that Washington has deployed an additional aircraft carrier to the region and is preparing for a potential prolonged military operation should the talks fail.
