Nearly 400 Afghan Refugee Families Return from Pakistan and Iran

On Monday, 394 families of Afghan refugees returned to Afghanistan from Pakistan and Iran through multiple border crossings. The largest group arrived at Torkham in Nangarhar province, accounting for 305 families. Spin Boldak in Kandahar province received 33 families, while the Silk Route crossing in Nimroz province also saw 33 families. Islam Qala in Herat province recorded the arrival of 23 families.

The High Commission for Addressing the Problems of Refugees managed the intake at these points. Returnees received registration, financial aid, and temporary shelter. Informational materials were distributed regarding the Islamic system, migration, and education. A total of 394 SIM cards were also handed out during the process.

The day prior, the commission had assisted additional returning families. Support went to 336 families at Torkham, 39 at Spin Boldak, 23 in Herat, one in Nimroz, and 156 in Kabul.

Furthermore, 2,140 refugees and 867 passengers returned through Nimroz on the date in question. All efforts were coordinated to provide necessary services to those coming back to the country.
