Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled Affairs Signs MoUs with Charities for Orphans' Aid and Vocational Training

The Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled Affairs signed a memorandum of understanding worth $616,168 with the Zaid AF AI Charity Institute to provide a better life for orphans by addressing their basic needs.

The ministry's press office stated that the assistance includes seven types of food items, five hygiene products, and 11 stationery items, intended for improved support of deserving orphans.

The project will be implemented in Kabul, Nangarhar, Logar, Takhar, and Kapisa provinces, with aid distributed in four stages over one year to 1,000 registered orphans.

The charity has previously provided various assistance to thousands of orphans, widows, and disabled individuals in coordination with the ministry across the center and provinces.

In a separate agreement, the ministry signed a memorandum worth 436,278 Afghanis with the ODOYSC Charity Institute to deliver vocational skills training to orphans, disabled persons, and affected youth.

The agreement covers technical and vocational programs for 1,250 families of martyrs, disabled persons, and affected youth in fields such as sewing, food processing, dairy production, mobile repair, and related areas, enabling participants to acquire practical skills for the job market.

Upon completion of the training courses, participants will receive necessary equipment and tools to start their businesses. Additionally, literacy programs will be implemented for some youth and adults who have been deprived of education, allowing them to play an active role in society.
