Ministry of Interior Delivers New Vehicles to Traffic Police

KABUL (Afghan Verified) -- The Ministry of Interior on Saturday handed over several new, modern vehicles to the General Directorate of Traffic Police to improve traffic management across cities and major highways.
According to a ministry statement cited by Ariana News, the vehicles -- equipped with special traffic police colors, markings and modern equipment -- will replace an older fleet that consisted mostly of trucks. The ministry said the new cars are expected to play a key role in maintaining traffic order, preventing accidents and providing faster services to the public.
In a post on X, the Ministry of Interior announced that a number of new and modern vehicles had been prepared and officially distributed to the traffic police to enhance services in urban areas, Pajhwok Afghan News reported. The vehicles, bearing distinctive colors and modern equipment, will contribute to strengthening traffic management, reducing accidents and delivering prompt public services.
Traffic police officials told Pajhwok that the new allocation would improve enforcement of traffic laws, accelerate police response at accident scenes and bolster public trust.
No specific number of vehicles was disclosed in either report.
