Maulvi Hanafi: Defending Nation and System Obligatory if Sovereignty Violated
KABUL -- Maulvi Abdul Salam Hanafi, deputy administrative head of the Prime Minister's Office, stated that defending the nation and the system is obligatory on everyone whenever national sovereignty is violated.
Hanafi made the remarks during a meeting with political analysts and media figures. Professor Mohammad Zaman Muzamil, Hamidullah Hotak, Hashem al-Kuzai, Dr. Fazlmanullah Mumtaz and Dr. Zalmay Afghaniyar, speaking on behalf of the group, condemned recent attacks by the Pakistani military on Afghanistan's national sovereignty and pledged full support for the Islamic Emirate.
The analysts expressed a desire for good relations with neighboring countries but said that when sovereignty was violated, the Islamic Emirate responded decisively and all strata of the nation stood by it. They praised the Islamic Emirate's prudent actions to contain the threats.
Appreciating the analysts' support, Hanafi said the current Islamic system is the result of the nation's sacrifices and that all are united to protect it. He added that the Islamic Emirate's positive accomplishments are being strengthened and further goals will be pursued jointly through consultation.
Hanafi emphasized that the Islamic Emirate does not seek war or problems with anyone and desires good relations with neighboring countries, regional states and the world based on mutual respect. However, he reiterated that defending the nation and system is obligatory if sovereignty is violated.
Hanafi expressed regret over civilian casualties from the recent attacks, stating that the war was imposed but that victories over existing threats have been achieved with the nation's support and consultation.
