Kazakhstan's ShalkiyaZinc company signed a contract with the Afghan-German Bakhtar company for the import of zinc ore from Afghanistan. The contract specifies the annual import of about 30,000 tons of zinc ore. The value of the contract is 18.88 million dollars, and the ore is meant to supply Kazzinc factories.
