Engineer Aamer Zamrak Yaser, the deputy mayor of Kabul, held a meeting with representatives from construction and road-building companies, warning that negligence in project implementation could result in contract termination by the Kabul Municipality.

In a statement from the Kabul Municipality's press office, Yaser stressed the need to complete projects on time and to high standards, noting that delays and violations are unacceptable to the public and municipal leadership. He emphasized rigorous monitoring of such issues.

Yaser specified that contractors found negligent would face contract termination and urged road construction to proceed with integrity, without delays, and in accordance with approved designs and technical documentation. He highlighted adherence to quality standards to avoid misuse of public funds.

The meeting addressed organizing work on busy routes into multiple shifts to reduce disruptions for residents. Safety measures were underscored, including dust mitigation, proper handling of excess materials, adherence to safety protocols, and establishing alternative routes to ease traffic congestion in construction areas.

With improving weather conditions, Yaser said ongoing projects would resume and new road construction initiatives would begin as planned, aiding Kabul's development and transportation infrastructure.
