The Israeli military said the strikes responded to more than 50 projectiles fired by Hezbollah toward Israeli forces in southern Lebanon. The attacks struck areas in southern Lebanon and the Beqaa Valley, including a residential building in Barish in the Tyre region that killed a family of four.

A Lebanese soldier was also among those killed. An Israeli airstrike hit a branch of the Central Bank of Lebanon in Nabatieh, causing material damage but no casualties. The Israeli military described its actions as defensive within a security zone.

Hezbollah accused Israel of hundreds of ceasefire violations and warned that responses would continue if the attacks persisted. Israel reported that five of its soldiers were killed in southern Lebanon over the past 48 hours due to Hezbollah attacks.

Both sides accused each other of violating the truce while stating their commitment to the agreement. The incidents occurred one day after the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah took effect.

Reliability assessment

Single outlet but provides direct attributions to named agencies (An-Nahar, Lebanese National News Agency) and on-record statements from Israeli military and Hezbollah with concrete details on locations, casualty numbers, and timelines

The source language mixes facts with framing or advocacy wording. Amu TV: "escalating violence", "hundreds of violations of the ceasefire", "deadliest Israeli attacks" - these phrases frame Israel as the primary aggressor and use emotionally loaded descriptors that imply intent and severity beyond neutral reporting.
