Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Has Reached Peace, Now Seeking Economic Progress, Mujahid Says

Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, has responded to calls from the European Union by emphasizing the current state of affairs in the country. He noted that peace and stability have been achieved, allowing the people to move beyond the era of war and conflicts.

The spokesperson highlighted the existence of robust security forces that contribute to the overall security situation. With these conditions in place, Mujahid indicated that the government's attention is now directed at fostering economic development and attaining self-sufficiency.

Mujahid extended an invitation to other nations to enhance their diplomatic and economic ties with Afghanistan. He suggested that such engagement would be beneficial and advised against unnecessary concerns regarding the internal situation.

This statement follows remarks made by the European Union at a meeting of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva. During that gathering, the EU underscored the necessity of an inclusive political process to ensure enduring peace and stability. Additionally, it called for the facilitation of humanitarian assistance without obstacles and for the inclusion of women in public life.

Officials from the Islamic Emirate have long regarded the establishment of an inclusive administration as a matter to be resolved domestically. They have dismissed external attempts to influence such decisions as unwarranted interference.
