Iran's Foreign Minister Denies Requesting Ceasefire or Negotiations with US
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Tehran has never requested a ceasefire or negotiations with the United States.
Araghchi's remarks came in response to US President Donald Trump's comments that Iran wants an agreement but that he is unwilling to accept it because its conditions are not good enough yet. In an interview with CBS News, Araghchi said: "We see no reason why we should talk to the Americans, because we were talking to them when they decided to attack us."
He added: "This is a war that President Trump and the United States have chosen, and we will continue to defend ourselves."
According to experts cited in the report, the consequences of the war affect the United States and Israel more than Iran. They noted rising reactions in America to the conflict, with some of Trump's advisors reportedly urging him to declare victory and withdraw US forces.
