Iran's Foreign Minister Araqchi Says Ceasefire Without Guarantees Would Restart War
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated that a ceasefire without guarantees is merely an unworthy pause that restarts the war.
Araqchi affirmed that Iran's current policy is one of continued resistance amid the ongoing conflict with the United States, adding that no talks on a ceasefire have occurred.
Referring to former U.S. President Donald Trump's recent comments on negotiations, Araqchi described them as an admission of defeat. He noted that Trump had previously demanded Iran's unconditional surrender.
Araqchi claimed the enemy has failed to divide Iran and that Tehran has thwarted the objectives of two powers.
He further asserted that U.S. bases in the region are permanent military towers, built with the goal of expanding the geography of occupation for Israel's security. Araqchi said America is prepared to sacrifice everything for that purpose.
