Iranian and Chinese Foreign Ministers Discuss Regional Developments, US and Israeli Aggression in Phone Call
Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araqchi and China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi held a telephone conversation on regional developments and the aftermath of military aggression by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran.
According to Iran's Foreign Ministry, Araqchi condemned actions by the United States and some other countries in the UN Security Council aimed at pressuring Iran. He stated that the Security Council had ignored the main culprits behind the US and Israeli aggression while blaming Iran, instead of fulfilling its duty to safeguard international peace and security.
Araqchi added that Iran has serious expectations from Security Council member states, especially China and Russia, to prevent the continued misuse of the council by the United States.
Wang Yi, for his part, once again condemned the illegal attack by the United States and Israel against Iran. He emphasized Beijing's stance on the necessity of halting bullying behaviors in the international arena and upholding diplomacy and international law to resolve disputes.
