Reports indicate that hundreds of Afghan citizens are still located in Qatar as they wait for transfers to the United States or other safe countries. The head of Afghan Evac has provided details on the current situation regarding these individuals.
Sean VanDiver, who serves as the head of Afghan Evac, stated that the organization is working to accelerate transfers for those with valid immigration cases. He noted that approximately 800 people have valid US entry cases at the present time.
In addition, more than 60,000 Afghan citizens have passed through the Afghan transfer center in Qatar since its establishment. This represents a substantial number of people who have utilized the facility for relocation purposes.
The transfers of Afghans to the US have decreased significantly after Donald Trump's government took power on the first of Dalw 1403. Since that date, only a small number of people have been transferred to the United States.
Migration activists named Abdul Razzaq Adil and Mohammad Khan Talebi Mohammadi have called for an end to the suspension of cases. They have criticized the policy of the United States on Afghan migrants, calling it a human rights violation. They have also highlighted the risk of a humanitarian and political crisis if processing does not resume at a faster pace.

Reliability assessment
Single source provides direct on-record attribution from named individuals (Sean VanDiver as head of Afghan Evac plus two named activists) with concrete details including specific numbers (800, 60,000) and a dated timeline.
The source language mixes facts with framing or advocacy wording. ToloNews: "worrying", "clear violation of human rights", "identity crisis for Washington" — these phrases introduce opinion, advocacy, and negative emotional framing into the reporting.
