German police reported that 1,521 cases of politically motivated right-wing violence were recorded across the country in 2025, marking an increase from previous years.

Preliminary figures from the federal government indicate that the number rose from 1,488 cases in 2024 and 1,270 in 2023. Officials stated that immigrants and political opponents were among the primary targets of these attacks.

The government emphasized that the statistics are not final and could change following further reviews, as some cases may be reclassified based on political motivation in later stages. Meanwhile, the overall number of politically motivated right-wing crimes decreased by about 4% to 41,072 cases, though officials warned this figure may also be revised.

In the final quarter of 2025, two attempted murders with right-wing motives were logged, one in October and one in December. Additionally, in May 2025, federal prosecutors arrested five suspects aged 14 to 21 in several states, targeting a right-wing extremist group. Officials said the group's aim was to carry out violent acts and undermine Germany's democratic system.
