First 'Made in Afghanistan' Exhibition Opens in Uzbekistan
TASHKENT, Uzbekistan (Afghan Verified) -- The first "Made in Afghanistan" exhibition opened Wednesday in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, featuring Afghan products across 60 stalls over three days, from March 25 to 27.
The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) announced the event, which it organized jointly with Uzbekistan's Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Financial support came from the chambers of both countries and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), according to ACCI.
The exhibition displays a wide range of Afghan products, including carpets, dried and fresh fruits, saffron, pine nuts, cotton, precious and semi-precious stones, beverages and other high-quality goods, ACCI said in a statement. It provides an opportunity to showcase the capacity, products and potential of Afghanistan's private sector to regional and global markets.
The event aims to boost exports between Kabul and Tashkent, strengthen regional trade relations, expand trade ties between the two countries, attract investment and promote Afghan exports to new markets, ACCI stated.
