The Deputy Minister of Art and Culture has visited a prominent Afghan scholar to check on his well-being. Maulvi Atiqullah Azizi met with Professor Mohammad Asif Samim, who is recognized as a writer and researcher. During the meeting, the deputy minister inquired about the professor's health. He also took the opportunity to praise the contributions that Professor Samim has made to Afghan culture over the years.
Furthermore, Azizi characterized the professor as one of the leading scientific and cultural figures in the country during the present era. He voiced his desire to see additional output from Samim in the areas of research and writing. This additional work, Azizi said, would aid in the development and flourishing of culture in Afghanistan. The pair also engaged in discussions regarding ways to enhance cultural affairs.
Professor Samim responded by expressing his appreciation to the ministry leadership. He thanked them for their concern regarding his health as well as for including him in consultations about cultural issues.
The current visit is not the first of its kind. It comes after ministry officials conducted a similar health inquiry with Professor Habibullah Rafi during the previous week.
