CNN: U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance Expected to Lead Next Iran Negotiations
U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance is expected to lead the next round of negotiations with Iran, according to CNN.
He will be joined by Steve Witkoff, the U.S. special envoy for the Middle East, and Jared Kushner, a former White House advisor and son-in-law of President Donald Trump.
President Trump stated that U.S.-Iran negotiations may resume in the next two days, possibly in Pakistan. Trump told the New York Post on Tuesday that there is a "greater likelihood" of the talks returning to Pakistan, highlighting the country's important role.
Pakistan hosted direct U.S.-Iran talks on Saturday and Sunday, marking the highest-level interaction between the two countries since 1979. The discussions ended without an agreement, though both sides emphasized their commitment to continuing the process.
Pakistani sources told Reuters that Islamabad is consulting with both parties to set a date for the next round.
